Loveland, Colorado

Loveland is indeed a community with much to offer! It is 45 miles north of Denver, and sits just east of the foothills with a population of 72,800 (2015 estimate). At 5,000 feet, it has a great climate with low humidity and moderate summer temperatures. Snow averages about 50 inches a year, but it usually melts very quickly with our sunny skies.

Like Fort Collins, Loveland is often selected a great place to live by national publications. It has been chosen among the best places in the country to raise a family.

In 2014 Sunset Magazine named Loveland "One of the West's Best Places to Live."

Loveland is known as the "Sweetheart City," because of its valentine remailing program. People from around the world mail their valentines to Loveland to be remailed with a special Loveland valentine postmark. People also travel to Loveland to be married in the town with such a romantic name.

Loveland is also known as the "Gateway to the Rockies." It is on Highway 34 that goes right into Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park, just 30 minutes to the west.

The work force in Loveland is fueled by high tech and small businesses, as is Fort Collins. Both communities have very highly educated work forces.

One of the unique features of Loveland is emphasis on the arts. It is a national center for bronze sculpture, with two bronze foundries. Many well known artists work and live in Loveland.

U.S. Art Magazine placed Loveland amount the top eight "Great Art Destinations" in the United States. Loveland was also ranked eighth in The Best Small Art Towns in America.
